Rusinga Island lies just off the mainland of Kenya in Lake Victoria. After many years of visiting my Rusinga home  I have embarked on a tourism project and  have built an eco lodge for my friends and guests to come visit and relax with me.  Wayando Beach Eco Lodge.

We are pursuing Permaculture and environmentally sustainable and organic practices such as organic gardening, composting toilets, grey water recycling, banana circles, bag gardens and solar water pumping etc. We hope to be a role model and demonstration site for others to learn and follow. We are constantly learning ourselves and trying new ideas to become more

sustainable.              Karibuni !!!
